Fanfiction Writer to Entertainment Writer: My NCIS: Los Angeles & Supernatural Interviews from Comic Con
Hey folks!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted but once you see what I have been up to recently, I have a feeling you may forgive me…..maybe.
As I posted a few months ago, I’ve been working really hard getting my freelance writing career off the ground (again, a big thanks to all my fanfiction fans for all the support that helped me to get to this point).
Last month I experienced something, well, rather surreal. Writing as I do for Daemon’s TV, I’ve gotten somewhat used to getting to be a part of all of my favorite television shows. But when I went to Comic Con in San Diego a few weeks ago, I got to experience it on a whole new level.
As many of you know, I have written fanfiction for both Supernatural and NCIS. So to get the chance to interview the casts of both Supernatural and NCIS: Los Angeles was a dream come true. If someone had told me two years ago when I got laid off of a corporate job that not only would I have been writing full time as a career but also getting the chance to sit down and talk to some of the people who create and play characters that I’ve written fanfiction about……well I’m pretty sure I would’ve thought they were nuts.
But that’s precisely what happened, and in case you don’t believe me, here are some videos to prove it. Also, I have new updates to my current Supernatural and NCIS WIPs on fanfiction.net so stay tuned!
Thanks so much for posting these interviews! The interview that really surprised me and the one I really, really enjoyed was the one with Mark Sheppard. I’d never seen/heard an interview with him before, but have loved many of the characters he’s played over the years. His love for the genre and acting and that he’s a fan is obvious. Thanks again!

You’re welcome! So glad you enjoyed them. Mark was indeed a blast. I’d seen him before and knew that he was nutty, but speaking to him in person at length was an amazing experience. I can honestly say that I didn’t laugh half as hard in any other interview that week as I did with him. I was mortified at first when I asked him a question that sent him scurrying around looking for Sera, but then I realized how much fun it was going to be for people to watch later. LOL.

Great interviews, thank you for putting these up. LL Cool J
is so much different than the role he plays, I love when actors have those
kinds of transformations. NCIS LA has actually become my favorite police
procedural out there. I’ve just been getting caught up on season 3 by using
dishonline(dot)com. It’s this great streaming site with tons of content, made available
completely free by my employer, DISH Network. Mainly I’ve used the site to
catch up on shows and see episodes I miss when I forget to set my DVR (which
happens more often than I’m comfortable admitting), but once in a while I’ve
been browsing and found something I really enjoyed (like Athena Goddess of War)
that I doubt I ever would have even heard of without the site. I definitely
recommend checking it dishonline.
